I agree.

'Only 220 km/h' makes me weep even more! 😭

Reading "retired after two decades of service" makes me weep. Both for the state of rolling stock here in Germany, nay Europe, and for retiring rolling stock after only 20 years.

Hello, Sigi! 🥰

Yeah, in my opinion stock exchanges are even less 'real' than the cycling bubble ...

We need to stress and stress again that new rail lines are primarily built for capacity, not speed. Building them for the highest possible speed is just a logical side-effect.

True. I like oranges, but I like apples more!

Exactly! Which is why Classics are objectively better than Grand Tours (I will die on this helling).

It's not a complete invention, there's a Peace Park at/in the Red Sea, shared between Israel and Jordan.

YUM!

The problem with hosting a Tour stage is that everybody's forgotten about it the next day. The stage winner will have fond memories of whichever French town, the locals will remember the day the Tour came by, and that's it.

This! The only reason I know of Deinze, and even went there in 2007, is because they hosted the start of Gent-Wevelgem.
Ah, memories ... I cycled from Gent to Deinze for the start, then took the short route directly to Wevelgem for the finish, and then to Kortrijk for a train back to Gent.

Several of the IPT "sponsors" aren't sponsors but rather partners. They don't put any money into the team budget, they're basically just placeholders that say "Sylvan Adams was here".

The team will be Swiss-registered for financial (read tax avoidance) reasons and nothing else.
I'd be massively surprised if they actually presented a Swiss sponsor (even a minor, non-title sponsor), or, in fact, *any* new title sponsor.

3) If Roland *were* to increase their cycling sponsorship, they would put that money into the women's team.
