Seeing a lot of negativity surrounding USM on Twitter/Reddit and as much as I can understand that the series hasn't turned out the way some hoped, I'm still enjoying it a lot. If it sticks the landing and it's all collected and removed from the discourse, it will be much more appreciated. #ComicSky

#UltimateX-Men 20 was definitely the most action-packed outing of the series. We finally get the classic two mutant sides battling each other a la X-Men v Brotherhood, but within a completely new context.
The artwork, as always, is outstanding and easily killing every other monthly Marvel series.

#UltimateX-Men 20 was definitely the most action-packed outing of the series. We finally get the classic two mutant sides battling each other a la X-Men v Brotherhood, but within a completely new context.

Imperial No. 2 was a lot of fun. Coello and Vicentini work seamlessly together on the artwork and Hickman packs the story with with so much action and events happening at once, it almost becomes too much. But in the end I am still enjoying the ride.

UTIMATE X-MEN 18: We finally got the confrontation that was build up in the past issues and while it was a little to quick for my taste, I'm still really excited to find out where it goes next, now that Hisako is finally back from the dark side.

With USM #18 out, I did a little reread of the previous six issues. Still not a fan of the monthly time skips, but it really works better in a binge read. Otherwise it's still a great book. The Kraven and Mysterio issues are clear stand outs and Checchetto's artwork is just beautiful.

With USM #18 out, I did a little reread of the previous six issues. Still not a fan of the monthly time skips, but it really works better in a binge read. Otherwise it's still a great book. The Kraven and Mysterio issues are clear stand outs and Checchetto's artwork is just beautiful.

New #Marvel Comics I read this week: Imperial and Ultimate Spider-Man Incursion. Two big Nummer 1s, but only the former lives up to the hype. I'm immediately invested in Imperial's murder mystery plot and the way all the various characters are being set up (No pun intended)

Continued my slow journey through Jonathan Hickman's indie work and read his first comic The Nightly News. For a first book, it's really strong outing. You can already Tell what kind of creator he will be and what a clear vision/viewpoint he has, even if it is still a little rough around the edges.

UXM continues to be a lot of fun. It's the most unique comic that Marvel publishes each month and seeing what strange visuals Momoko comes up with every time is always such a delight.

I also read UXM #12. I quite like the series, simply as an outlet for Momoko to go wild. Imagery alone has been enough for me, with the story taking a backseat. But we are clearly entering the next chapter now and I have to say the turn of this issue suprised me quite a bit. #ComicSky #UltimateX-Men
Ultimate Spider-Man #14 was crazy good this month. I enjoyed the slower paced first year, but the last 2 issues are easily the best the series has been. The fact that they also got around the silly monthly time skips clearly helped #ComicSky #WeReadsComics

It's annoying how overpriced ALIENS VS AVENGERS is, because on one hand I really shouldn't support sth like that but on the other THE BOOK IS SOOO GOOD 😭. It is easily my favorite Thing Marvel IS currently releasing (but people should definitly just wait for the trade tho) #ComicSky #WeReadsComics

Habe endlich "Black Monday Murders" von Jonathan Hickman und Tom Coker nachgeholt. Wurde ziemlich von den US - Comicfans, den ich folge, hochgehyped und hat nicht enttäuscht. Nicht mein Lieblings Hickman Werk, zumindest nicht solange es noch unvollendet ist, aber trotzdem sehr, sehr gut. #ComicSky
