From Australia but similarly disappointed in this message that if you're powerful enough, it's okay to be a predator. I'm a survivor too and when our highest court overturned Cardinal Pell's conviction it felt like a green light to perpetrators and a big 🖕 to survivors.

Representative government is supposed to be about trying to have diverse voices that can speak for many diverse interests in a society. Not try to lump everyone in to two voices. More diverse candidate voices is a good thing.

I have a good friend who I've heard talk about the tragedy of the commons many times. Yet he's often the one who benefits from taking things for himself that are meant for everyone.

As an Australian and an athiest let me say; it is the best holiday. It has no gift giving requirement, no obligatory family or social gathering. The dress code is literally f*** dress codes be anything you want, and it has no concerning links to still oppressive religions.

As an autist I have always had an aversion to talking with strangers. But I genuinely believe this instinct is wrong. It should be okay to speak with a stranger, and you ask for trivial things from other people.

As wealth inequality grows, it is a natural outcome that businesses will increasingly target their products towards those with the most money to spend on them.

I would love to know more about why people are or aren't flakey. The 'tism makes me very sensitive to disruption of plans, plus I can get rejection sensitivity dysphoria on top of that so I've learnt to be very careful about who I keep in my life based on whether they show up.
