the whole DE/EU economic security rationale will be tested for sure; maybe time-sensitiveness and dominance over critical supply chains in intermediate processes will play a role in overlooking some of those requirements, but it'll be interesting to see how this plays out

I wonder how this squares with problems in European infrastructure/construction business. Chinese firms and suppliers are probably better if getting things done quickly is the priority, but the politics of it will be... tense, to say the least.
