I always wonder why we can so easily accept that we won’t be able to fully understand what what stem people do but they either put us down as „not real science“ and/or meddle in our field and make very obvious rookie mistakes without even noticing it 😅 honestly the audacity

I kinda share this theory. I went to the effective altruism table at a welcome event at my university and the books and claims I saw were baffling insofar as it seemed like the people behind the table who chose them as well as the people who wrote said books were cosplaying philosophy & sociology.
