Amazing talk today at PUC Rio with Stephen Sexton, whose book If All the World and Love Were Young was released in Brazil last year as Se o Mundo e o Amor Fossem Jovens. It was translated to Portuguese by Ana Guadalupe. Sexton talked to Paulo Henriques Britto and Maria Cecilia Brandi.

Yesterday, we listened to Jamaica Kincaid’s recording of the last paragraph of See Now Then while reading the Brazilian translation. It was the best way of finishing our discussion about the novel; those adverbs will keep haunting us...
