I mean if you start from new game + it’s not that crazy cause you have all your stuff but I imagine if you start fresh it could genuinely be a bit of a challenge at points

Yeah it’s basically the “let’s address the biggest criticisms” update and I’m more than happy with it

You just pick a save that’s completed and it’ll carry over all of your upgrades including onions you’ve gotten

You can turn off auto lock on

There’s a new game + mode that carries over all your upgrades

With fierce difficulty they actually made a genuine attempt to make it hard

You can skip the tutorial day and go straight to day two if you want

There’s actually a lot of cool stuff in it

I feel the case for Pokemon is that the core formula is just decently fun no matter what so if they just keep that core formula and don’t screw it up, the games will always be fun
That’s why I still enjoy the recent games despite other elements being lackluster
