This book has given me the chills multiple times. Heart-wrenching but absolutely stunning. I can only imagine how beautiful is the Spanish (original) version.

I mean, this is the BBC’s webpage now. They use quotation marks because they need to attribute the sentence about the attack on freedom of expression to Al Jazeera. They can’t even condemn it AS A NEWS OUTLET. This is our moral failure, plain and simple.

Actually the definition of deportation as a crime against humanity in the ICC statute applies to “persons” who are “lawfully present” in a country, thus including non-nationals. Otherwise it would be sufficient to strip you of your nationality.
