I think optical discs peaked the when the front of it wasn't a full print but rather it's still shiny (even when it's almost fully covered but it's still having shiny parts like that Demo One disc)

If you wonder about the Kid Icarus Uprising AR cards, I only have 76 of them. Very far from a complete set, but I didn't do this collection myself I just inherited that stuff lol

I don't think this is a mistake. Pretty confident Nintendo probably felt it looked out of place and changed it on purpose.
That's the kind of thing you'll have to get used to in rereleases, that Nintendo can do some creative changes at any time.
