Keep the civic in civic tech. Launch a public option for everything. Abolish the lottery.
My most treasured Sickos college football ritual is to look for the cheapest resale tickets for the day's slate. Today, $4 gets you into the Kansas @ Iowa State game.

My thoughts on Abundance, with a civic tech lens.

I found it refreshing that the authors start by plainly stating their audience, which civic tech folks fall squarely into.

Their argument: demand side government programs are good (e.g. public benefits), but supply side needs to be more of a focus.

My analogy for LLMs is the enteric nervous system. If your GI tract can sometimes feel like it has a mind of its own... well, it does.

And the enteric system is a genuine marvel, great at producing one output (shit) from varied inputs (food).

And, and... shit can be useful if properly processed.

Genuine question: Why does a 14% popular vote share by Reform UK only translate into 5 seats, while 12% wins 71 seats for the Liberal Democrats?
