I hope this catalog provides transparency into the mail process, which is my means of communication with the outside world while in pre-trial detention. The above format is chosen to maintain anonymity, while simultaneously allowing self-identification. Note that in instances where part of a return addrss did not survive te photocopy gauntlet, I have substituted a "?" for the missing name, zip or date. How do I know if Luigi is receiving the mail I’m sending to him? Luigi is currently receiving between 5-10 letters per day, often weeks or months later, due to the high volume of mail from around the country and world. Despite recent reporting, Luigi very much welcomes mail and tries to personally respond to many of the letters received. We are working on strategies to increase the quantity of mail being delivered to Luigi on a daily basis. Several recent articles have contained explicit misinformation about our client and the case. In response, we are exercising our right to correct these inaccuracies and provide the public with truthful information. Our goal is to ensure that the facts are accurately represented and that our client's right to a fair trial is upheld. Please note that Luigi’s defense team is mindful of the ethical guidelines set forth in United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York Local Rule 23.1 and New York Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 3.6 regarding pre-trial publicity. These rules emphasize the importance of not making extrajudicial statements that could materially prejudice a legal proceeding. However, these rules also provide exceptions that allow defendants to respond to public statements that mischaracterize facts.

"Dear Karen, your letter is the first one to make me tear up. I am so, so sorry for what you and your daughter senselessly had to endure. Pictures sent via mail are photocopied in a blurry blck and white, but if you use "free prints" (app) you are able to send me one in color. It requires my address and registration #52503-511). if you are able to send a photo of you/your daughter or the mosaic, it would mean a great deal to me. I will put it up on my prison cell wall next to your letter. Your daughter is blessed to have a mother who loves her so much and ffights for her so relentlessly. Best, Luigi Mangione"

I never needed to worry about affording med care. But I am here bc, even among the affluent, it is clear that from the motion to dismiss Adams' charges to perp walk, the case is likely politicized. Makes me highly doubtful of any claimed evidence and pursuit of capital punishment. CP, esp, would personally & strongly tilt me in favor of defense; the motives are suspect & due process lacking.

Luigi Mangione's attorney, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, told Newsweek in a statement on Tuesday:
