Has been a while, I promise Soleil is not dead. Just a really slow progress
"Sumi—" Slowly starts Akira, unsure of the identity of the woman in front of him, and suddenly stops in his tracks when everyone here can hear the big inhale she takes at those two syllables. "Kasumi?" Akira is still confused about who's standing in front of him at the moment, his only giveway being the slight head nod she does without even noticing. "You're one of the festival's twins, right?" He wished he was as smooth as he thougth he was, wished he wasn't hurting this girl who visibly lost a lot but this is as soft as he can be with his curiosity showing his head. Two things happens at the same time: a flurry of orange hair turn his way, a heavy and furious glare pierces right throught his soul making each vertabrae of his spine shake in fear under such a fire and a deep — but short — burst of pain in his lowers ribs done by a swift elbow kick (An Akira's speciality) followed by a whisper-scream of his name. "OW! What was that for!" He asks Akira, turning his head so sharply he can hear his neck crack. The other boy in front of him is silent, trying to nudge Goro to look the other way with slight movements of his head. The girl, Kasumi, is crying. Her eyes widen in shock, tears sliding along her cheeks in deafening silence. Not only had Goro overstepped the line with his question, but he tumbled all the way across, destroying everything in his path. And judging by both Akira's and the other girl's glare, it was really bad. "A true devil are you, priest boy." She stabs his chest with her small finger, he can feel her nail indenting his skin in a small crescent under his clothes. "Always here when he's not needed or even wanted. You—" "Futaba, stop." The orange girl is interrupted in her venomous monologue by Kasumi, curling her long fingers around her wrist in an attempt to free Goro from her wrath. Her last words slowly sink in, the sound of his pumping blood buzzing in his ears. Loki begs for blood, for revenge, his hatred only growing stronger th…

Writing hasn't been easy lately. Doubts are sticking to my skin like leeches and self-confidence is crumbling like biscuits...
But anyway, here's a tiny sample from Soleil's chapter 4
The raven slightly bow as his parents move toward the house, and Goro just take the opportunity to kiss the top of Akira's hand in a tender gesture, softly whispering "Missed you. It was boring without you." As a small blush spreads on his beloved cheeks, he quickly disengage with the interaction — yet still lacing their fingers together — to pull Goro towards the village. "L-let's go!"

Small spoilers for Soleil 3rd chapter

Trying something a bit different to convey Akira's retelling of events. Since I'm not moving away from Narrator!Goro, I wanted to have him retells Akira's story? Not sure it makes sense with just this snippet
The second twin came much, much later than thought, already a nuisance by not wanting to leave the confines of his mother's body. (I guess I was already unwanted from the start, Akira sighs.) One of the maids had to fetch the doctor to see what was going on, worried that all the blood was marring the tatami now that the futon was soaked. As a last resort, the Doctor chose to cut Sute open performing a cae- ce-… a section on her lower belly. Thus, in silence, blood, and skin, Akira was born. "Mayu was afraid I was dead. The doctor said I was sleeping," said the young boy "You oversleep often," the young man says, reaching out with a shaky hand, curling his hair behind his ears. "Sometimes, you don't even hear me when I come to get you in the morning." His answer is only a bright, sheepish smile before continuing his story. While Akira came second and Ren first, this village has a peculiar tradition. The second-born twin is considered the oldest of the two, so Akira became Ren's older brother when he took his first breath. Akira became Ren's guardian when he first opened his eyes to the world.

Here is the final snippet for Soleil's 3rd chapter, which should be available for the end of the week
"Beautiful," Akira said while looking at the twins. Goro could feel jealousy's ugly head snaking around his mind. Don't be, little one. It isn't toward what you think, reassure the noise. And true to its words—"Their kimonos are amazing." It was the second time he could look at it, and while he was as in awe as Akira the first time, he could take the time to look at the big picture. The white fabric reminded him of two distinct things: brides and corpses. And trying to think about those possibilities was a morbid rabbit hole. Who would they be married to if they were both going to the same place in the same palaquin? They also weren't dead, and the temple never buried or burned some alive. And more importantly, why did they have to be showcased to the whole village?

Not only were they dressed the same, but they also had identical hairstyles. Everything was symmetrical, a reflection, an uncanny replica of each other: red and white, crimson and Ivory. And in the middle of this duality, a single black rope looped around them with a small golden bell. "It doesn't chime, you know." Suddenly, a third woman with fiery orange hair stands beside him, her face hidden by a hannya mask. He almost screams in surprise, "How could they? It's marble-less." There's a heavy silence between them. Goro doesn't realize she's talking about the bells from the get-go. Too transfixed by her persimmon-colored hair and the black and white stripes staining the horns of her mask. He swallows the lump in his throat. "Is that why they look so sad?" She scoffs, "Only a child would ask questions like this." He can't answer fast enough as she saunters to the twins, her sandals scraping the ground below, spreading dust everywhere. One last look at the girls and their third dusk-colored hair member, memorizing as much as possible so he can ask who they are to Akira, and he turns back. His friend is waiting for him.

Akechi here truly embracing "You help yourself by helping other" mindset. (Sorry for the inevitable spelling/grammar mistakes)

His first victim was Ann. He knew the blond alpha was more bisexual than straight, Akechi saw how she looked at her friend the few times he stalked them. He dug around, sniffing any informations he could, and since they sometimes shared magazine shooting he put on the mask of the shy omega and good friend of Akira and started gossiping to gain her trust and friendship. She had a real eye for fashion and sweets, and was pretty easy to talk to, so Akechi would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy his time with the her. Truly his actions were a gift. Pushing her towards her beta friend was the right thing to do. Sure the planets were aligned, but not just for Akechi and Akira. He supported and pushed her towards Shiho, and before he knew it they had confessed to each other pushing Akira out of the picture. One down, 4 more to go.
