I manage to find them in the Indian/Asian markets usually at least. So it's not hopeless! I just miss having access to affordable beans. I think last time I paid 5 euros for a kilo of dried beans

That sounds amazing honestly. But yeah, lentils in general are less common here. It's. Quite sad.

They're hard to find! Sometimes I find yellow split peas that work too. The color is different, but most of the flavor is from thyme anyways. I use smoked tofu as well instead of ham

As an American who lives outside the US, I'm so ready to leave his legacy of bullshit behind. 2A nutjobs and transphobes get no sympathy in my book

Do you mean the data centers or the grid operators aren't doing n-1 anymore?
September 18, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Yeah, I very much doubt that the data center owners would particularly want to do onsite too. (Let's take the data center completely offline and powerless for the annual maintenance; that'll go over great!)

Autarky is usually a meme in 97% of use cases.

Isn't it more likely for data centers to procure their own power? I.e. onsite generation? I guess if they can't get turbines either though
September 18, 2025 at 6:29 PM
This is usually explicitly planned. Household consumers are generally less sensitive to electricity prices, so they have the highest marginal pricing. (Ramsey pricing) Specifically because utilities are monopolies, and generally are only allowed to recover costs + a % by their regulator

I noticed the gift article ran out, would it be possible to get a copy of the article?
September 13, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Great to see this finally published!
September 13, 2025 at 11:39 AM
I guess it goes into force in 2030, so they still have some time to iron out the details. But still. Good news is good news

Did they finally find out how to measure emissions for farmers? I remember new Zealand wanted to do this, but I thought their newest administration ended up scrapping it
