Yeah, something in that vain. Digital technologies feel to many people alienating, they put another dimension between us and social reality. Learning how to code is then akin to reluctantly and hesitantly feeling your way around a place where you don't actually want to be.

But the centrality of digital technologies in our lives does steer what learning experiences are valued economically, even if we go slowly.

Frankly, I'd rather learn about something else. Why should I be pushed to learn about coding?
