Today is Canto I's first anniversary!!! On this day in 2024, my first Steam game was released for the world to see!!! Despite being small, it took me three years to make during my free time.

A Youtube comment to Canto I’s trailer: “I stumbled across this gem by accident, playing it on a Steam Deck is amazing!! This game is legit! I've been obsessed with The Divine Comedy and when I saw this I had to play. The platforming is difficult but rewarding. Just the right amount I want in a sidescrolling platformer. The art design is fantastic! It would be cool to have the text of the scrolls pop up when you collect them, so you read the story as you progress through the forest. Other than that, this game deserves to be a way bigger game! More people need to get down on CANTO I!😄💚” My response is “Omg thank you so much for the kind words!!! It means a lot! For the Ultrabeasts set I’m surprised my favorite art is of a mon I don’t think about much. The found footage vibe is absolutely stellar here and sets the tone perfectly. I didn’t like ultrabeasts much when they came out but lately, especially when I see their “alienness” played up, I kinda dig them
