Had to check this morning to see if my life insurance would pay out if I was brutally gunned down by a federal agent. Answer is maybe, but definitely an uphill battle.

Exactly. If Hegseth can do this to a sitting Senator, your average retired officer has no protection at all. Absolutely disgusting to intimidate veterans who have served two decades or more.
This is designed to have a chilling effect on all retired service members. The message is that if you speak out, you risk your retirement pay.

At this point, can we just move back to having independent states and a weak federal government? I never thought I would Team State's Rights but the GOP is making me a fan in all the worst ways.

Dominion has already sunk $9 billion into this project. I live just a few miles from the dock where they load all the turbines onto the ship and it is constantly full of parts. There is no way Dominion just walks away from this investment.

Today wrapped up my third semester running a program specifically for kids who, for numerous reasons, just don't fit in at public schools. Neurodiverse, LGBTQIA+, medically-complex. Seeing how happy they are, with new friends who just don't care about those things, makes it so worth it.

The hero of Bondi: Ahmed el Ahmed, a 43 year old fruit shop owner from Sutherland. He grabbed the gun off one of the terrorists shooting at Jews during a Hanukkah celebration.
Ahmed was then shot in the leg and shoulder by another terrorist. He’s being treated in the hospital and expected to be OK.
