Dialysis was framed as ‘treatment’ & possible complications minimised. CKM framed as ‘non-treatment’, linked to advance care planning, palliative care & death. Inaccurate framing of both treatments mean patients may exclude treatment options more concordant w/their goals, values & preferences.
