And this is why Bluesky is better. My algorithm is showing me news about shoe stealing cuties, not mad men.

The Gatsby Benchmarks aren't perfect, but they give us a clear outline for the minimum required standard we should be aiming for.

They've just been updated, but the essentials remain pretty steady.

Boomers keep booming while young borrowers and renters pick up the tab
Like a good wine, the boomers are getting richer with age. But it's coming at the expense of young people, and one day they might just pull the cork out.

We're so casual about this. We know that a quarter of people in the UK live in poverty, and the vast majority are in three groups; households where someone has a disability, households where people are underemployed, and pensioners.
Shocking news. 36% of UK children are living in poverty according to the latest Social Metrics Commission research (I am one of the Commissioners)

Why am I here? Because I miss Twitter, and I'm a politics junkie. I don't like not knowing what's happening in the world, and I like screaming into the void.

Quick intro (just in case anyone is watching).

I'm into confident career choices and long runs by the beach.

Run a Social Enterprise and work with 1300+ schools, unis, etc. in 40 odd countries which keeps me pretty busy.

Raising three teens in my spare time, and quite enjoy LinkedIn.
