Even the most right-wing person in the US would agree that trying to force customers to buy your product is wrong.

Anyone who gave SPECIFIC negative feedback to this graphic, thank you. That shows you are actually interested in Dems improving.
As opposed to those who simply spray "you weaklings need to grow a spine!" and walk away. Unspecific feedback is a vent a best, a "F you and go away" at worst.

Major kudos to Jason Crow though!

"no shortcut on BlueSky for PayPal"... strike that, reverse it.

That also explains why they continue with "it was just a joke" after they get called out, when fewer and fewer people buy that anymore. They want to fluster liberals.
So... what is our next step? Other than not letting ourselves be flustered, I mean.p

It wasn't the 8 year old kid the decorations scared.
It was the 30-something kid.

The best way to get a "freedom-loving" American to bend the knee is to threaten their livelihood. Full stop.

At-will employment and lack of job security is the #1 reason why Americans lack courage compared to the rest of the developed world.

She needs to get documentation to help her do that.
Including communication with any coworkers who may have disliked her.

I just called that number and left a message for Jessie Garcia, emphasizing that if it was Dan O'Donnell and his fanboys mobbing the station that forced their hand, that it was a cowardly and victim-blaming thing to do. "Causing a distraction"? Kuffel was the victim, not the perp here!

Somebody named Dan O Donnell who runs a local right wing show. He probably has a friend or two at the station he got an "in" with. That's why everything moved so fast

Like, I work in education and life is good now. But I am also a nonreligious childless cat lady. Will I found morally suspect and unfit in a year or so?

I actually agree with you that it's overblown. I've been afraid of my employers buying into influencer culture and judging me according to its criteria, but I don't actually endorse it myself.

But Gen Z does endorse it. And I think it's warping their sense of what professionalism means.

Not at the moment. I do have a good job now. But nothing lasts forever and eventually I will need to move on to my next position, and that scares me. Especially with AI and possible trumpification of hiring criteria.

OK-- I overstated my case back there, and now I feel my message has run away from me. Sorry. How many of my replies should I delete?

(Not sarcastic; just kicking myself for flubbing communications)

Maybe not professionals, but certainly small business people.

They shouldn't feel like they need to act like online celebrities either. Not unless it's something they want and choose.
January 15, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Probably.

A lot of my feelings here are residual trauma from my own experiences in the job hunt. Always feeling like I'm going to lose the competition to someone just 0.0001% a better fit. Wondering what could've given me that edge. It's unhealthy.

I agree. We should refer to them by a more fitting name: Fascists.
