Given I have several hundred books on my library list I don't often allow myself to pick up a book that hasn't previously been on my radar. Glad I made an exception for David Kirby's Britain 1947. Very interesting & entertainingly constructed.

Hopefully I am not the only 51 year old who sometimes buys themselves an illustrated children's book as a treat. I do enjoy the adult fiction by Anne Booth too.

Too many books, not enough time, too little shelf space and self control.... but buying books makes me happy and on the plus side I have decided to DNF a book I am not enjoying. I don't do this often enough.
