since I’ve had a baby I’ve read more news articles than ever before, simply because I need something one-handed to do at 2am when she’s feeding and I’ve stupidly forgotten to connect my earphones before latching her on

my kid straight up looking like Tony Soprano getting the newspaper

fully overwhelmed this afternoon, because a friend surprised us with a handmade quilt inspired by early modern decorated ceilings for Nugget. absolutely astonishing work and a kindness that is rare to find.

It was a hell of a thing to go through, but now we are five (including the cats). and that’s enough to get us through the recovery from that birth.

well, Wes, you undermine the “don’t put little Tory squits upside down in bins” movement, so where does that leave us, eh?

look at this ridiculous creature.

1. Exactly the sort of person you’d expect to be saying this 2. Why run with this photo, where Wallace looks like he’s sizing up how to eat your skin most efficiently?
July 18, 2025 at 10:19 AM
the absolute state of this creature.

pregnancy is a funny old time for body image, but shout out to P, who managed to take some pictures of me I truly adore while we were on our “babymoon” last week, and to me, who decided I was going to stop dissecting every picture taken of me with a critical lens.

the sheer chutzpah of Ryanair emailing this to me the day after a flight that landed half an hour late

behold, my beautiful boy who is only a little bit soggy.

this photo was taken nine years ago today on the first day of my finals. I already knew P was the love of my life. glorious and magical to think that these two idiots are now PhD-holding professionals, expecting a baby and getting married next year. true love is real.

ordered a maternity dress (it’s happening yo) off Vinted and laid it out on the sofa to get rid of the creases. within two minutes Archie has turned it into his new bed without me even trying it on.

May 13, 2025 at 10:55 AM
hive mind: I’ve got a slip attached to an arrest warrant that’s in court hand and Latin that doesn’t refer to the original warrant, but a linked arrest. can anyone help me with a transcription and/or translation?

we’re having a bit of a disagreement about whether he’s helping me write.

I’ve long known P was my soulmate, but it was all the more certain when I said I wanted to be pregnant Bella Swan for a fancy dress party and he immediately volunteered to be my Edward Cullen. nobody wanted to talk to us and we went to the Maccies drive-through like this. he’s the love of my life.
