Yeah, it is. I'd been a member since I was 12, in 2003. The current admins decided they wanted to get book accurate about Elaida's reign, sadly.

Like season 1, even when the show diverges from the book it feels true to the spirit of the books. And it’s just so much fun to see it all brought to life. My only complaint is that I want more than 8 episodes!

I also feel like the sets, monsters, and props feel more solid and lived in this season. They were real locations and practical effects last season 2, but didn’t always feel that way, so they seem to have fixed whatever caused that.

The special effects are so much better this season. The weaves are colorful and look way more specific than last season! The Fades are scarier, too.

The Seanchan’s costumes are incredible, and I love love love that they have American accents. Once again, for those who might have missed it, this fantasy world is not based on medieval Europe!

Everything is still very gay and polyamorous, and it’s still awesome to me to see a world where these things just aren’t noteworthy or stigmatized at all.

The White Tower scenes are GREAT. Before, the tower felt a bit limited and formal, because all we saw was the hall and amyrlin’s office. Now it feels huge and expansive and full of life (and extremely fucked up power dynamics lol).

The new actor for Mat is a huge improvement. I loved season 1 Mat, but he was missing the joviality of book Mat. New Mat feels more appropriate for where the character is headed.

Everything feels much more natural and in the pocket this season, I think because they no longer need to spend so much time introducing the world and because they aren’t limited by covid restrictions.
