I really should have flagged this up before, but if you happen to be in Edinburgh 'The Long Life of the Ancient City: A presentation of three new books' is taking place today (Wednesday) in the Teviot Lecture Theatre in the Old Medical School at 5.30pm. Who can identify all three wonderful cities?

So what is Bluesky for? I don't have any new publications to announce but @chrisbrooke.bsky.social tells me it is for posting pictures of cats, and I have lots of those, thanks to my children (and Hamish, their willing subject, of course)
