My guy is a rescue too. I've had him about a year. Vet thinks he's about 5 years old and a beagle basset mix.

I buy necks and wings and do it a couple of weeks ahead of time and have it in the freezer. One less job in the busy time.

My gentle BIL told me he loved Tday at our house but he hoped we could have "the regular kind" of cranberry sauce as well as the "fancy" one I made. The next year he was horrified when I scooped it out of the can and into a bowl. We have served it shape and ridges intact ever since.

These revelations are unearthing bad memories of my time as a young woman in academia and my early corporate life. Those orgs are like big cities and young women quickly learn what streets, neighborhoods, and men are unsafe. It was traumatizing and exhausting.

Everyone I knew kept their jobs from college or grad school as they moved into their professional lives. That's how we saved enough for a down payment and to fix up the houses we bought. I did prep work for a caterer and they let me bake cheesecakes in their ovens that I sold on the side.
