We were just talking about this! One of my colleagues wrote a paper a while back finding that we have enough recycled gold for medical & other needs and advocating that we stop mining. We were wondering if a rebuttal to this video was in order... Would you be interested to chat?

This working paper looks at energy resources rather than timelines. But some of the authors recently modeled the costs of the energy transition & found the faster we go, the more we save ($12 trillion). So I think they'd agree that faster is better! www.smithschool.ox.ac.uk/news/decarbo...
