The iconic Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) and the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024), nestled in the constellation Orion. Dominating the scene is the brilliant star Alnitak, the easternmost star in Orion’s Belt, which emits a striking halo of light. The intricate details of the Flame Nebula unfold beneath it, with a web of glowing hydrogen gas interwoven with dark, smoky filaments. To the right, the unmistakable silhouette of the Horsehead Nebula stands out, framed against the backdrop of a rich, red emission nebula. The faint, dusty clouds surrounding these features add depth to the image, emphasizing the complexity of this celestial region. The photo was taken using a Nikon D750 camera, unmodified for astrophotography, paired with an 8-inch (200/1000mm) Newtonian reflector telescope. Over 26 individual exposures, each lasting 900 seconds, were stacked to accumulate a total of nearly 6.5 hours of light data. Calibration frames—16 darks, 50 flats, and 40 biases—were used to reduce noise and enhance the final result. Processed in Siril with an initial stretch and further refined, the image showcases remarkable detail and contrast, even with a camera not specialized for hydrogen-alpha wavelengths.

The turkey was good at this restaurant, not at home but the same here, always a wonderful time with the family, now ready to go home for some family games.

Happy Thanksgiving, the most important thing for me every Thanksgiving is to be with my family, I am thankful for the companionship and support of my family in my growing up always bring me joy and love. I am also thankful for all the people I have met in my life.
