I've just been diagnosed at 54. My life makes so much sense now. I'm both happy and sad about it. It's a lot to process! I'm not sure what medication would do for me, though. I've done pretty good without it. And I don't want to lose myself. What difference does it actually make?

I've read a report from dementia experts who analysed his public statements in 2024, and they reported that he displays strong characteristics with his rambling, incoherent, disjointed thought processes - not a diagnosis

Generational brainwashed prejudice can run incredibly deep. It's not an excuse - they're choosing to stay bigoted -but it is a factor.

Also ignorance, e.g. my mother (82) who recently said of the trans community "why can't they just be gay?" & "life is hard enough, why choose to make it harder?"
