Couldn't do this list without including one of the best games of all time. Definitely the best game on the NES itself by far.

Doubt many will remember this one. I could have gone with Contra, but I think I've done enough games that I didn't own. I might have liked this more. It was harder (in the good way), and unlike Contra, I may have only beaten this one once.

Another game I didn't own, because I didn't get my first computer 'til after I was out of high school Played it a lot hanging with a friend, but was pretty good at the time. Don't know if I could go back to it when there are better versions around.

The main reason the GameBoy was such a big seller when it first came out. Was during the 'love' part of my mom's off and on love/hate relationship with video games. Probably why my GB would turn up missing for days at a time randomly.

Yet another game I spent way too much time on to have not actually owned. But hey, when you tend to average only one new game each year, you're gonna put a crap ton of time into what you have.

A video game from 1983 that STILL looks better than a lot of modern day stuff. I dumped a lot of quarters into this bad boy, but never beat it 'til I had it on Sega CD at home.

For a game I never actually owned, I played it a ton (rentals, playing with other friends). Just never could find it stores to buy (damn computer chip shortages). Definitely a game with a ton of replay value, even today.
