Chickens are 3.5 weeks old and we’ve officially reached the awkward teenage stage. Their down is being replaced with feathers and they’re really starting to get big. Soon they’ll be too big to fit in their brooder.

Well, the chicks are 1.5 weeks old and thriving, so it’s time to make this Bluesky official. Everyone meet Caoimhe, Róisín, Gráinne and Little Alex Horne - my new babies. #silkies

Found a baby(?) bat last night. It wasn’t flying, but ran out into the road, so I helped it safely cross the street and hide in a crack in the sidewalk. I resisted my impulse to pick it up, but it was very difficult. It was so cute. 🥹
