Yesterday, I gave a poetry reading at the Berkeley Bird Festival with Kirk Lumpkin and Chris Olander. Kirk dressed up as MC Stellar Jay and MC Brilliant Blue for his reading. Chris's poems included birdcalls. We also shared a table at this inspiring event, which featured a variety of presentations.

On Sunday, October 19, 1:35 pm, at the Berkeley Bird Festival, I will read poems featuring birds I have seen in Mexico, Costa Rica, and California. Chris Olander and Kirk Lumpkin will read with me. The festival will be at the David Brower Center in downtown Berkeley. FREE. berkeleybirdfestival.org

My press, Scarlet Tanager Books, published A Light to Do Shellwork By, poems by Georgiana Valoyce-Sanchez. At AWP in LA on 3/29, Georgiana will take part in a reading of Native American poetry from California. She will also be a special guest at the Scarlet Tanager reception that evening.
