But in order to adequately support Charlie he needs to be physically around her and involved in what she's doing more than just hovering on the fringes. Maybe there's a way they can reach a compromise that's more comfortable for them both, so he can support her but feel less overwhelmed

Yk what I can agree with that last bit. It was good at the end of the final ep to see him down with all the Sinners, fully dressed. Vivs also said he only cares about his family, plus sinners are a reminder of his punishment, so it makes sense why he would isolate from large groups of Sinners

You might be right there! I'm planning to do a whole rewatch of S1 & 2 and all of Helluva again because I bet I missed a ton the first time. There's so much packed into such a short time limit. The team did so well with the time they were given for the episodes

Also he acted as soon as he was made aware of the Vox issue by Vaggi, listened to every request Charlie had (whether that be to give her space or come back), and even acted to help her before she asked in some cases. I don't think there's realistically more he could have done given his situation.

That's only one day after the day Lucifer was comforting her though. He might not be particularly aware of what other Sinners do in the ring, but he was definitely supporting Charlie in person and stepping in to help her where he could. He wasn't isolated from Charlie, but did avoid other Sinners.

Not blaming Vaggi for this BTW, just thinking about how scary the situation must have been from Lucifer's side - not knowing what's happening to him or how long it will last, and being completely alone through it all. Plus his abandonment issues and asking Charlie "please don't give up on me"

I don't agree with Lucifer not noticing her spiral, there's a whole (big) scene where he notices her spiralling, rescues her from the problem (press), and then spends an extended time reassuring, advising and comforting her. Every action he takes in S2 is shown as intending to support or help her
