The issue shows up on both my iPad and my Android phone, which are both up to date with o.s. and apps, meaning the issue is not the device.

Now we’re getting into too technical terminology for me. 😅

GIMP does have filters/generic/gegl graph, which uses a simple text syntax to plug filters together, and can load/save presets, although by default for security reasons they are not stored nondestructively in saved files.

There’s two separate questions around actions. They are basically macros for Photoshop, but GIMP has different menus, different ways of doing the same things, so first thins is that the actual macros won’t work. Maybe some could be "translated" to scripts. Second, GIMP doesn't yet have macros :-)

GIMP can read many Photoshop brushes, not sure about patterns, but not actions. Put brushes in your profile brushes folder - find where by going to Edit/preferences and expanding Folders on lower left (may need to scroll down after expanding), and click on brushes; use the 2nd entry.
