Canada Post isn't supposed to be a business. It's a service, but it does need to be solvent to a certain degree.
I would think they should branch out like euro post offices did and take on services like banking/ecommerce, and just plain old diversify into industry adjacent areas.

Dairy and poultry are already managed (quota), bring back the beef and pork quotas and kick American producers out. That alone will revive the pork industry.
