I'd say a society where heteronormative and macho values aren't constantly trumpeted. I'd also say if "kink" was more normalized it would help. Ironically, being ridiculed for not being a macho alpha is part of the beta sub kink.

Society forces many into living a dishonest, double-life. The best that's open to submissive men is to at least not try to deliberately lie about their identity within the public sphere or deliberately set up false impressions.
