Listening to Jesus Jones' Right Here, Right Now and I’m thrown back to 1991. That song rang with hope. Today I hear it differently — change repeating itself, shadows stretching longer. I didn't wait for this. but here I am, reflecting between memory and now.

Here’s another peek at Delores, the baby aquilops we crafted for Universal Studios. Exploring the art of silicone painting has been both a challenge and a thrill. So grateful to collaborate with such a talented and imaginative team!

1989: My first art professional gig? Tom Peterson's ad department. Yep, that Tom Peterson—selling mattresses like time machines. My peak? Creating the Tom Peterson Coloring Book—a Van Gogh of appliance doodles in 1980's mullet-era Portland. Wholesome escapism at its finest!

Blood Moon, March 13, 2025. Witnessing the celestial ballet as the cosmos paints our moon with hues of crimson. The beauty of this spectacle evokes a sense of awe as the universe's grandeur and mystery unfold before our very eyes. Ain't it cool to have the opportunity to see these kind of things?

My weekend mornings are sacred—time to reflect, savor coffee, and connect with my dreams, which fuel my creativity. Protecting this space isn’t indulgence; it’s self-care and the foundation of my inner world. Friends who respect this rhythm understand I don’t want to be bothered until after 2pm.

Timeless music evokes nostalgic truths. Hearing Journey's "Feeling That Way/Anytime", this lyric resonated: "Give me your sunshine, a spark to take away shadows." This spark can be our journey from darkness to light, illuminating life's path. Here's to finding and sharing sparks of light every day!

"Keep writing in the dark:
A record of the night, or
Words that pulled you from the depths of unknowing,
Words that flew through your mind, strange birds
Crying their urgency with human voices...
Words that may have the power
To make the sun rise again."

Myths convey deeper truths through symbolism, not literalism. Misunderstood as literal, they lead to rigid dogmas. Appreciated metaphorically, they provide psychological insights and foster personal growth.

During sleep, creative individuals remain alert to dream inspirations: a playwright watches a dream's play, a sculptor sees a new form, a painter envisions a unique image, and a songwriter hears melodies and lyrics. This occurs in the Dream Castle, the unconscious mind.

Dreams uncover layers of human experience, linking our conscious minds to ancient parts of our psyche. Jung’s archetypes connect us to the collective unconscious, inviting us to confront shadows and embark on symbolic journeys. It’s like being Indiana Jones!

Art is more than mere brush strokes on a canvas or notes in a symphony—it's a profound display of the artist’s cognitive process, laid bare for the world to see. In each piece, an artist exposes their innermost thoughts, emotions, and vulnerabilities, offering a glimpse into their soul.
