I've heard other artists express that same concern, but with regards to social media following; worried about losing followers if they don't stay consistent with their content. This becomes an important conversation about the role and identity of the artists. Are we a brand?

Wow. I can't say that I've ever had that experience myself. It sounds like your clients have very specific expectations. I'm glad you've found a way to make it work for you!

Interesting! I haven't found my clients to be confused personally. I've actually found the opposite, and have collectors who have bought my work of mine in a range of mediums. I would be interested to know what you mean by confused? Have your clients expressed this to you personally?

Cool. I'll be excited to see when it's finished!

That makes sense, thanks for clarifying. In that case, yeah, go for it! I will be interested to see what you do with this composition device. Will you post it when you're finished?

It depends on what you mean by that. I'm ok with my work inspiring other work but am not on board with copying or derivative works (hence the copyright tags).

Thanks! Not numerically, but the hands point in the direction of each bird to create flow in the drawing and emphasize their connectedness.
