Steam review of the game Everhood: Recommended 13.9 hrs on record Everhood is a unique and memorable gaming experience. It doesn't really play like a rhythm game moreso that your Enemy is playing the rhythm game and You're trying to beat them in a battle. The characters are lively and charming, and the interactions are fun and silly. The story seems deceptively simple, until you reach a certain point in the game in which it suddenly becomes one of existentialism. The game is difficult, especially specific bosses that will send you an onslaught of musical attacks and really test your endurance and dodging skills, but feels very rewarding to beat. I just played at the default difficulty, there were a few times where I wound up getting stuck dying to the same fight, but that just means you get to listen to this game's Legendary soundtrack for longer. Listen to me reader. This game's soundtrack. BANGS. This is an OST you are going to want in your playlists. To put in the background of your epic gaming montages and have all the comments asking where it's from, because it's that good. There's some Weird music to match the psychedelic visuals and intense hardcore tracks for the strongest fights. There are some scenes that were so utterly mesmerizing that I had no idea what was going on but it felt like I Died and went to some weird dreamlike purgatory state. I played through the game once and it took me roughly 12 hours or so. Recommend giving this game a shot if you like a good challenge, awesome banger soundtracks, weird brain-melting visuals, or an unforgettable story experience.
