The battle system is about half done! It's setup for up to 3 enemies at a time. The PERFORM system is done and next will be ITEMS and GRACE. Here is a quick video of a test battle between 3 snowballers! It's a bit snug between the three of them on screen at one time.

(2/2) If you've never played Undertale or Deltarune, I highly recommend it as masterclasses in ludonarrative harmony, metanarrative storytelling, and emotionally engrossing writing.

This project would not exist without UNDERTALE and Toby Fox.

ATTACK the enemy with the ATTACK button, swinging your weapon directly in the bullet hell to deal damage!
PERFORM actions that pacify the enemy!
ITEMS for healing and changing weapons!
GRACE to spare enemies and run away!

Bullet Hell Hack and Slash Mockup

During the enemy's turn, the game switches to a bullet hell game where you can use your currently equipped weapon to slash and destroy incoming bullets. Or attack the monster shooting those bullets directly, dealing damage!
