Seemed to me like it was more to help Lemmen, who otherwise would have had to close the gap alone which wasn’t happening

Did they really accelerate? Del Toro, Gee, Carapaz all able to make it back despite being caught up. Lemmen was already pulling super hard before that part, and the main reason the gaps were big was because some riders were held up long

Strategic. Since cycling is highly dynamic, it’s nearly impossible to anticipate every situation in advance. The focus should always be on realising what the situation is like, and a next step that maximizes the team’s chances of winning

Maybe he shouldn’t have signed that contract back in March. He chose stability at the time, and that decision backfired. Doesn't look like the team did anything wrong. Cian's case didn't end up going to court, it was a three party agreement in the end
