Exactly! The Nazis thought the US was too harsh and most of the people in this country have yet to (will never) unpack the atrocities we committed. We can never move forward until people learn to account for the horrors that this country we're built on.

The Handmaid's Tale being based on the actual suffering of black people and other people of color in America gets ignored so often. The Nazi's adapted their persecution of the Jews from America's playbook during reconstruction. The US has always been the villain. The current atrocities aren't new. 💔
