I’m now working at a think tank, focusing on climate policy, pushing for ideas and actionable items that’ll reduce greenhouse gas emissions, boost clean energy, and ensure a clean environment for all. Can’t understate how devastating current events are not just for climate but for our country.

After some time as an air dispersion modeler for the state of Texas, I turned to grad school to learn about policy and what action local, state, and federal governments could do about climate change. Turns out, no policy is perfect but we have options!

Hey Blue Sky, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Lucero and after being obsessed with weather as a kid, I pursued a meteorology degree. My studies + the first withdrawal of the Paris agreement really shifted my mind to question what we can do about climate change. The answer I found: policy.
