When I look at this photo… I just want to cry… This time, not because of ignorance or attachment, but because I feel, understand, and see the Master, a Fully Enlightened Being, explain and listen the same things over and over again and adapts to our way of life in order to help us. Because, in truth, The Tathāgatas (Bouddhas) didn't need to be here. And with this, I can only have a glimpse of the Compassion of these completely Enlightened and Realized Beings. I think it is the general opinion how fortunate and blessed we are. I sincerely hope that all our teachers remain for many, many years, kalpas, eons... until we all become enlightened and do for others what they compassionately do for us. Tuesday, November 11, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Buddha’s Descent from Tushita (Lhabab Düchen) Lhabab Düchen is one of the four major Buddhist holidays. It occurs on the 22nd day of the 9th month in the Tibetan lunar calendar. The Buddha Shakyamuni went to Tushita pure realm to give teachings to his mother, who had passed away 7 days after his birth, to repay her for her kindness. After 3 months teaching in the Tushita realm, he returned to earth to continue to teach the Dharma in the human realm. Lhabab Düchen commemorates Buddha’s return to the human realm. To commemorate this special day, we will gather to recite the Treasury of Blessings and the Heart Sutra. We will also make an Offering of light. On this auspicious day, Acharya Chöying Gyurmey will conduct a Refuge Ceremony. If you wish to take Refuge, please send an email to centre@rigpedorjemontreal.org or speak to Acharya. Lhabab Duchen is a significant Buddhist festival on the 22nd day of the ninth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar, commemorating the Buddha's descent from the Trayastrimsha heaven. He had ascended to teach his mother, who was reborn in the gods' realm after her death, and his return to Earth after three months is considered one of his greatest deeds. It is one of the four most sacred holidays and is celebrated with prayers, rituals, and acts of merit, and the merits accumulated for good deeds performed on that day are multiplied. Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche is an incarnation of Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö, and he was recognized as such by high lamas (teachers) like Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche, and the 16th Karmapa. Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche is the youngest son of Kangyur Rinpoche.
