Today has been a long old day but a good one. We’ve been to Pompeii, a winery for lunch and to the top of Vesuvius, which was very hard work. Finally back at the hotel enjoying a well deserved drink!

What a fabulous day we’ve had on the Amalfi coast. It’s been a long day, 9 hours, but so worth it. The only pity is it’s so blooming busy but I’m very happy I’ve seen it, it’s just stunning.

Had the interment of step-mother/mother-in-law’s ashes yesterday. Thought it would be nice to place some flowers from her garden by her memorial stone so I picked a bunch on Thursday. How pretty were they? And they smelt amazing too😍🥰

Was feeling really pleased with myself getting into the hammock holding a glass of Pimms up to the point where I put it on the grass then knocked it over reaching for it! 🤦🏼♀️😂🙄

Loving how the new flowerbed is looking after less than a year of being planted. Also feeling quite pleased with myself as I’ve never planted a bed or chosen plants before and they were mostly reduced at the end of last summer. Also very happy to have the hammock up ☺️

I love my little breakfast/lunch patio spot. It’s definitely a breakfast in the garden type of day 😊 Can wait till the clematis blooms, there’s loads of buds on it.

Look at my wisteria! The flowers are starting to blossom! I thought they might just die & fall off so I’m mega chuffed! 😊

We’ve had a fabulous few hours at Bodnant Garden today. A perfect day for an hours drive along the Welsh coast with the roof down. ☺️
