I think he has an aversion to the natural elements (and being outdoors). I can’t picture him strolling through a park. Maybe he’s afraid of stumbling on uneven ground that isn’t paved over. We know he’s afraid of falling.

Don’t shift your lack of understanding (and compassion) to the uneducated. The uneducated have trans kids/friends/family too, so they’re capable of caring about this issue. Just admit that you are the one who doesn’t understand and/or care.
