how fast the current format is, it probably would be a turn off for those who are used to a quicker pace. As such, switches and stalls kind of become necessary to keep the scene alive, and that's not necessarily bad for those who enjoy such a pace.

That said, thank goodness for PTCG Pocket (4/4)

predictable. Pokemon become more reliant on retreating, which means providing the needed energy (Latias ex excluded) or get stuck playing the Pokemon you sent out. This may be more true to the anime, so it is just changing one game for another. But in terms of competition, especially with (3/4)

But is slowing down the game the end goal? Part of the hype is in how quickly one can overwhelm the opponent, assuming this is competitive we are talking about. In theory, you could get rid of the switches and Snorlaxes, then ban such concepts from being made, but then things become a bit more (2/4)
