It’s not Paul Thomas Anderson’s best film (that has to be 'There Will Be Blood'), but it’s certainly his most important, for all the reasons that various reviews and commentaries have already highlighted. Yet, despite all the ink spilled, I am surprised how two relevant aspects have been overlooked:

I agree, I think it really is as simple (and perturbing) as this.
So I know a lot of people get kind of perturbed when those of us on the academic and research side point out that the Republicans and the techno fascist goal is to purposely crash the market so their friends in venture capital can pick the bones of American government.

In a move that *should* be precedent-setting for other scholarly organizations, the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (NASSS) announces that this year’s conference will be held concurrently at sites in the US and Canada and online due to the dangerous US political climate.

At the heart of every attack on disability benefits is the myth disabled people “get perks”: a free car, loads of cash, a life off work. It misrepresents the reality of disability, whilst exploiting low wages and high living costs to make the public envy people in daily pain.
