i hate to say it but, it's not like people didn't warn about this. people who voted for trump - whether it was a protest vote or out of frustration with the world as it is or not - were all told that this would happen, and they chose to ignore it. maybe 5 years ago there would be forgiveness for it.

i really like the analysis of Inside. there was always something that rubbed me the wrong way about the "rich white dude in a big house during the pandemic" analysis of it and i couldn't quite put my finder on it beyond "this just feels like complaining about the creation of art during hard times"
