Kratom: Beyond the headlines — real pain relief, family survival, and science that matters.

She's been a kratom consumer for 11 years, managing chronic pain and has become an advocate.

If you want to know more about how kratom can help people in pain, we're here to share our story.
Kratom — A Win for Common Sense in Ohio. Governor DeWine tried to ban kratom by sending it to the Board of Pharmacy--then they both backed off. The meeting was canceled, and the ban stalled. This is a victory, not because of politeness — it happened because kratom advocates refused to stay silent.

Case: 33 year old requesting help with Kratom dependence. Turns out it wasn't Kratom at all.

🌿 Could KRATOM be a safer option for people living with chronic pain? From my own experience, having safe options has truly been life-changing. This little girl lights up my world, and without kratom, these moments—and these photos—wouldn’t exist. That’s why protecting kratom matters so much to me💚

🍃Director of NIDA National Institute on Drug Abuse has a positive view on kratom.
🍃to the tune of $100 Million dollars, the amount of research spending on kratom.
🍃She believes it’s part of the solution for many. So much so that in her private lab at NIDA she is doing research on KRATOM.

Many headlines are spreading misinformation, claiming the federal government is “going after Kratom.” Focus is on 7OH, a semi-synthetic. If the FDA were truly targeting Kratom, would my wife have been welcomed to the HHS stage, an 11 yr daily consumer, to share the benefits of Kratom?

NIH-backed review finds kratom far safer than its critics claim. This National Institute of Health NIH-highlighted systematic reviewed and published In the National Library of Medicine

Kratom Case Report: Long-Term Kratom Use in Chronic Pain
Conclusion: This case demonstrates the potential for kratom to restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life in long-term pain patients. This shows both the physical and emotional dimensions of recovery, and the impact on family

Kratom is NOT being federally banned. The concern is synthesized 7-OH, NOT kratom, else why would the Commissioner welcome an 11-year kratom consumer to the stage to speak about its benefits? I seriously don’t understand why people are saying that they are CRACKING DOWN on KRATOM---100% NOT TRUE.

The FDA is not targeting plain leaf kratom. What they are focused on are chemically altered products with high levels of 7-hydroxy mytragenine (7-OH); mostly lab-produced, acting as an opioid. Those are not natural kratom products, and they deserve scrutiny.

Kratom consumers, we wouldn’t be here without Dr. Christopher McCurdy. He’s been studying it for nearly 30 years, long before most people had even heard of it. His science-first approach has laid the foundation for everything we know about kratom’s alkaloids, potential therapeutic uses, and safety

My wife testifying at an HHS press conference in Washington DC today about how Kratom--NOT 7OH--gave her her life back after years suffering with chronic pain and side effects from prescription meds.

A recent post circulating on LinkedIn describes a patient with "kratom dependence" and anxiety presenting to the ER. But as Dr. Christopher McCurdy clarified:
7-Labs manufactures semi-synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine products — potent, addictive pure opioids, not natural kratom leaf. lnkd.in/gqbCXQAB

Many FDA scientists support kratom.

And policymakers are now shifting-even if they aren't ready to recommend it yet.

The data is real. The lived experience is real. It’s time the public—and policymakers—heard both.

Without kratom, my wife was hurting and bedridden, unable to fully be there for our family. Kratom gave her her life back.
Because of Kratom, she is able to do full-time childcare for my granddaughter this summer. She is 3 1/2 years old. She’s the light of our lives!

I'm so glad my wife found Kratom. It gave me my wife back and our kids their mom back, with no more horrible opiate side effects! Proud of her for putting in the long hours to find the pain relief she so needed.

The FDA’s latest crackdown is focused on products loaded with synthetic or highly concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine (7‑OH)—a powerful compound not found in natural kratom. That's what they should have done from the start, instead of conflating that with safe, natural Kratom.
July 23, 2025 at 4:33 PM
If kratom had been accepted rather than feared, research would’ve flagged 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) early—before confusion and problems took root. Today, they’re targeting the high-concentration 7-OH products, but the damage is done. Confusion and fear created by early FDA actions still linger

My wife and I get our plain leaf (powder) Kratom only from vetted vendors. We reccommend avoiding extracts and 7-OH, which is not Kratom, but a metabolite.

Kratom advocates are moving to BlueSky because of increasing censorship of even peer-reviewed science articles regarding this beneficial herbal on Facebook.
