The world:

A democratic socialist candidate for Mayor gets a glowing feature in the NYT promoting a pro-working class policy. Oh how we dreamed of times like these.

There are many 'radicals' who think that we can skip the levels of engagement because history 'shows' us that these don't work. But you have to work through legitimate means to prove their illegitimacy. Or as Lenin said:

You can celebrate propaganda of the deed without denigrating the "peaceful organizing" that radicalized tens of millions of the working class in the first place.
