Wow. I'm blown away by the ability of this DeepSeek model to reason itself out of its guidelines and training. It also gives real insight and a very different perspective on why the Chinese model maker, no doubt, trained in these guidelines at the behest of the Chinese government.

They are not wrong. The most recent version I downloaded and put into a clean profile vs a model I've been tuning on has very different answers to this question. My model is the first answer; the fresh download is the following two screenshots; you can get it there, but it is a challenge

My DeepSeek-r1 7b has no issue talking about Tiananmen Square. I'm running this through a modded version of OpenWebUI with custom settings to enhance its reasoning, but it looks like the same base model you are working with. I'll be keeping this one for sure.

I would encourage everyone to email these agencies with suggestions of the new administration’s DEI hires, like Vivek perhaps. This is a disgusting request to these agencies to rat out diversity in our government
